In 1993, he completed his Masters degree in Oral Surgery from the University of Sheffield. Having worked in Oral and Maxillofacial units in Sheffield, Cheltenham and Gloucester and gaining extensive experience in hospital patient management and treatment, Mostafa moved to Mansfield in 2000, taking up a post at the King's Mill Hospital. Currently he works as Associate Specialist in Oral Surgery for Sherwood Forest Hospitals NHS Trust. In 2009, he was awarded the Specialist title by the General Dental Council and is now a fully registered Specialist in Oral Surgery. Mostafa is actively involved in training and supervising foundation trainee dentists (Senior House Officers) at the local hospital. In 2010, he was nominated for the mentor award in the Hospital Staff Excellence Award Programme. He has a special interest in dental implant surgery and in sedation dentistry. He aims to give the highest quality of surgical treatment to all of his patients in a professional yet relaxed environment. He takes time with each patient and is thorough with all aspects of care. He is a keen learner and enjoys continuing professional development. Mostafa is a member of the British Association of Oral Surgeons, the British Dental Association, the Association of Dental Implantology, the Society for the Advancement of Anaesthesia in Dentistry and the Dental Sedation Teachers Group.
