Oral Surgery

Mostafa uses modern technology and trusted techniques in a relaxed, caring and professional environment to provide stress-free oral surgery. For bone surgery, he uses the PIEZOSURGERY unit, which is now considered as a gentle and atraumatic surgical device for bone surgery. By using this ultrasonic bone-removing technique, he is able to add a gentle touch to the most complex of bone surgery cases.

Mostafa happily accepts referrals for the following oral surgical procedures:

  • Removal of impacted third molars (wisdom teeth)

  • Removal of fractured teeth or retained roots

  • Atraumatic teeth removal using PIEZOSURGERY unit and socket preservation for patients taking bisphosphonate medications

  • Removal of cystic lesions from teeth apex and jaw bone

  • Apicectomy and retrograde root canal treatment (root-end filling)

  • Orthodontic teeth extraction

  • Surgical exposure of un-erupted teeth prior to orthodontic treatment

  • Repair of oro-antral communications

  • Removal of facial skin lesions

  • Removal of intra-oral lumps (mucocele)

  • Frenectomy (lip or tongue)

Sedation

Mostafa also has been providing fully monitored intravenous sedation for anxious and nervous dental patients. The techniques used will calmly manage anxiety and fear, preventing pain and discomfort and also produce some amnesia with respect to the treatment sessions. We are very happy to discuss particular needs and concerns with patients and referring practitioners.

We especially welcome phobic patients, fully appreciating that most people will view the prospect of oral surgery with trepidation, even if it is required to help secure oral health. Mostafa has successfully treated many people who were extremely apprehensive beforehand and he regards dental sedation as one of his specialities.
